Our Vineyard

Erin Glenn’s Estate vineyards are located about 4 miles from downtown The Dalles on south-facing slopes at about 900’ elevation.  Planted in 2002, they yielded their first harvest in 2004.

Our “Blind Dog” Syrah block, affectionately named for a neighbor dog with poor vision, produces some of our favorite Syrah in the area.  A glass of this inky goodness is hard to come by and is only available through our tasting room ~ but it’s worth the extra effort!

Our “Gemini” block produces our Late Harvest Gewürztraminer.  Named after the youngest members of the Schechtel family, these grapes are given the most hang time ~ only being harvested when the bees smell the sugary nectar and begin to burrow into the fruit.  Our vineyard rows are lined with bee traps in order to help us get to the grapes first!  This little sweetie is a marvelous dessert wine.
